Tarot

I have created two tarot decks. The Keeper’s Arcana: An Elven Tarot Deck was first. It is basically a Waite-Smith clone with a few changes based upon my personal understanding and how I read the cards.

The Keeper’s Arcana is a 78 card deck with two alternative cards. Some of the major arcana had their names changed but an attempt was made to keep the card’s meaning intact.

The main innovation of the Keeper’s Arcana was reformulating the court cards. Instead of the traditional feudalistic Page, Knight, Queen and King the deck uses Fledgling, Wanderer, Keeper, and Elder. This serves to de-gender the cards making it possible to elevate females for the two suits commonly associated with femininity.

The current deck that I am working on is The Weaver’s Arcana: A Tarot of Fundamental Forces. This is a much more expansive deck containing 95 cards plus an alternative card. The deck has three added major arcana and an entire extra suit called Spheres and based on the fifth element Aether.

The deck’s artwork is mostly complete, still to be added are the frames/titles, a description of the changes made to the deck is also in the works. A few of the cards as works in progress are below.

The cards above will be, from the major arcana, The Magician, The Star, and The Oracle. From the minor arcana we have the Weaver of Quills (correlates to the Queen of Swords), the Luminary (King) of Wands, and the 4 of Spheres.

Both decks relied heavily on AI in their creation.
